Good news! I've finally found my Camera cable to it's back to the blog for a well needed catch up.
I hope that if you celebrate Christmas or not that you've enjoyed the season and you raring to head into 2014 at full speed!
Before we get ahead of ourselves I want to take a quick look back at the Christmas season and the lovely gifts I received thanks to my wonderful family.
My favourite event of December 2013 was the Countdown to Christmas and Christmas Bake & Make series which kept me busy crafting all season with gifts and treats for my family and friends.
Luckily for me they went down a storm!
My family always astound me with the well thought out and personal presents I always seem to receive. This year they had me down to a T and some of the gifts were the most meaningful I've ever received. Here's a look back at Christmas in the Price house and some of the my lovely gifts.
This last two presents had me in mushy happy tears. Both these gifts have shown so much thought I was truly touched. This first gift is from my beautiful younger sister. For as long as I can ever remember, my family have always affectionately called me "leaf", so much so that my real name "Alethea" rarely gets used. This gift came with a lovely sentimental note from my sister which I will cherish for years to come.
And this final present shows just how much some of the most precious gifts need not have great monetary value. I have never intended to fill this blog with the ghosts of my past, but all I will say is that recently I came to the saddening realisation that as I have never really owned a camera I have no family photos, especially of my mother, which unfortunately I will not ever be able to rectify. This really made me so sad and is something I struggle with on a regular basis. But remembering this, my older sister went trawling through the loft and through all her own family photos and put this photo album together for me. I can't explain in words how much this means to me, as I write this I'm struggling to keep myself together but I am so thankful for this gift, and will treasure it for as long as I live.
(The little one with lots of hair is me!) Regardless of the gifts you've received this Christmas I hope you've taken away some loving memories and you have many more to come. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite memories or gifts have been this Christmas. I can't wait for whatever adventures 2014 brings, I have some exciting plans in place and I can't wait for them to unfold and to share every experience with you. Until next time Bye for now! xx
