Boutique Haul Part #1

First just a big thank you to everyone who left me such lovely comments on twitter or my blog for my last Sunday Self-reflection post it really means the world to me! I'm hoping to do posts like this more regularly so stay tuned for more of those soon!

Today I'm going to be showing you a bit of a Boutique haul I got recently, I'm going to do this in two posts I think just because it's all so pretty I don't want to rush it, and I know that some of these brands you can find online too so I've put links to the ones I could find below plus some extras for the labels because they have some super nice dresses at the moment! (Price may vary on website vs shop price).

Before we go anywhere can I just give some appreciation for this bag? I love when shops not only take the time to carefully wrap each of your purchases but when they are also presented to you in a lovely and unique back. Just makes the whole experience feel that extra bit special.
I loved the original art work on this and was pleased as punch to carry it around town with me!

...but back to the important part. Here's what I got on day 1 (yes two days of shopping yay me!)

Tie waist Lovestruck dress | £35
House print emilyandfin top | £25
Real Suede Handmade Notebook | £22.50
Origami Bird Necklace | £8

I'm just in love with this dress, the length is above the knee without being too short, hangs so well with lovely subtle pleats and the material is amazing quality. I love the little delicate buttons, and although on the rack I wasn't convinced by the tie waist it only shows the slightest peak of belly and adds a really cute and pretty detail to the front of the dress. A really elegant dress that can be dressed up or down for day or night, and at £35 I was so pleased! The light mint will be perfect for spring!

Excuse the pun (serious apologies for this haha!) but I am literally lovestruck by this label. Having found them online I am obsessed with so many of the dresses and skirts and am just about poised to put in an order for a couple more dresses and skirts!

I bought the last few items in a second boutique store, but coincidentally I think I've definitely come out with a very spring coloured theme in the whole haul which I'm mighty pleased with. These are definitely my favourite colours this season.

I thought this top was adorable. I can easily pair it with a nice pair of dark ankle length jeans, or tucked into a high waisted tea skirt so I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of it.

The material was also amazing quality, very soft, and a strong shirt like material with just a little bit of hold. I really loved the pleat detailing around the neck line which is not high but a perfect modest neckline which will be lovely for day wear this spring and maybe a nice picnic in the park!

...and while I'm there this notebook fits perfectly into my handbag for some worldly contemplation and creative thinking. I can never go anywhere without a trusty notebook for jotting down ideas and thoughts whenever the moment takes me. I really loved the gentle colour and soft touch of the real suede & little tie round. It has that perfect raw material, old fashioned look to it which will be perfect for getting those creative juices flowing!

This is one of my favourite things about boutique shopping. You can walk in and fall in love with pretty much anything, a lunch box, a purse, a note book, a watch, a teddy bear, a bath bomb...there are always endless beautifully decorated nooks and crannies filled with all sorts of treasures just waiting to be taken home and adored by little magpies like you and me.

In which I found this...last but not least I picked up this origami bird necklace for the absolute bargain price of £8. I'm afraid my photos don't do it justice, but the body is silver and the chain and wings are a warm gold. I love the contrasting metals and the wings and body also move independently which just adds to the giddy feeling this little gem gives me! It's such a simple peace I've already worn it too many times, but it goes with practically anything, I've already worn it with both the dress and top in this haul.

I'm afraid I couldn't find the other items online but you can find a number of clothing items from both lovestruck and emilyandfin online including ASOSAmazon, aspirestyle and through online and local boutiques across the UK & US such as Oliver Bonas, Modcloth and Kiki's Boutique. So I hope that helps!

I didn't get the chance (or the lighting) to look-book any of these, but hopefully I'll try and get snaps of them in the coming days and will pop them up on Twitter or Instagram so you can hopefully find them over there very soon!

On Thursday I'll post up the rest of my haul from my second day of boutique shopping and hope you'll come visit to see what other beautiful gems I picked up.

Do you have a favourite shop or boutique where you live? Let me know in the comments below, I'm off to Manchester, London and Cardiff in the coming weeks so I'll try and give them a visit!

Thanks for popping by!
