New in the shop | Cable pillows

I’ve really enjoyed experimenting with new yarns, and patterns lately.

I always seemed to find I have more stash than I know what to do with, so to make some space and try something new I’ve been picking out those yarns that I never knew what to do with and making patch squares. I was originally thinking of making them into one giant blanket, only it turned out I loved the squares so much on there own I decided to keep them as are and make them into Pillows.

A great challenge for me as I’ve never had much experience with a sewing machine so this was a really useful way to practise and lucky for me I wasn’t to terrible at it!

I started off with my squares and a quick trip to the Haberdasher found me the perfect cotton material to finish these off with a warm autumn feel.

A few designs, snips, seams and buttons later and I had warm cosy pillows ready for a new home.

I took some of these to craft festival at the beginning of the month and they seemed to go down a treat so these are the last two and you can find them in my Etsy shop.

Are you a crafter? What sorts of things do you do to get creative with your craft stash?
