100 Days of Instagram: The Happy Challenge

Well I've been reading around and everybody is making New Year's Resolutions. I've never really been one for making resolutions, mostly because I forget about them and don't follow through but this year I thought I'd give it a go.

Technically, I'm not going to be making any resolutions but I'm going to be trying something a little different.

A while ago, I watched a vlog from the lovely Ingrid Nilsen (or Miss Glamorazzi). In this vlog Ingrid touches on the loss of a loved one, something I can also relate to and it really tugged at my heart strings.

I definitely know what it's like to have those days when you feel so low, you can't get those thoughts out of your head, maybe you don't want to get out of bed, or maybe it's raining outside which just zaps your motivation to get anything done today...I'm sure you know what I mean...but Miss Glamorazzi had a great solution and I want to put it to good use.

Ingrid said that to keep positive she takes a snap of something that makes her feel happy everyday!

Although I don't have resolutions one thing I do want to do this year is boost my motivation, my confidence and my overall well-being. With all these things then in place I hope to pursue some of my life long ambitions that I've always been to nervous to follow.

So from today I'm going to try following in her footsteps.

100 Days of Instagram: Happy Challenge

Today was a really special day for me. For the first time since age 9 my Dad cooked me lunch and we ate at his house - my childhood home. It was a very precious moment for me.

Everyday for the next 100 days I'm going to take a snap of something that makes me happy. Whether it's sunshine (rare in Wales!), flowers, family, friends, food, music, or just my favourite nail varnish this week! If it catches my attention or lifts my mood I'll be snapping it an you can see it!

It's about time I started using my Instagram account more so if you want to see my mood lifters, from today you can find them here.

And on those days I realise nothing caught my eye, the 100 day challenge will be a great way to get myself out and about to find something to snap and consciously make an effort to brighten my mood.

If you're on Instagram leave your link in the comments below and I'd love to see your 100 Days of Instagram snaps!

I hope you enjoy the challenge and let me know if you join in!

Bye for now xx
