Tuesday Reviews: Sanctuary Spa Get-Away Collection

It's that time of the week when we review something!

Last week was full of adventure for me. I made some big steps and got to tick of another goal on my self-reflection bucket list (more on that on Sunday). I won't go into too much detail today but I'll give you a little snippet, and it involves the Sanctuary Spa Get-Away Collection!

For one night only, I booked myself into a lovely 4 star hotel and treated myself to an executive suite, room service and some well deserved down time! I took as little as possible with me, just my laptop to blog, my essential travel products, some cosy pyjamas and the Sanctuary Spa Get-away Collection, and that lack of an extra set of clothes FORCED me to go shopping and by a new outfit for the next day (the trials and tribulations of me time!).

My plan for the mini trip was to simply spends some time on my own, to leave behind to stresses of studies, work and life, and soothe my neglected self in a mountain of bubbles.

I was really excited to use this set because although I have worked in boots (many moons ago) and always picked up a bottle for a quick smell - I do love that smell - I have never actually ever bought anything! Silly I know. So I decided to rectify this gross error and bought the Sanctuary Spa Weekend Get-Away Collection. Some products I loved and some less so but first off here's what you get in the set:

Body Scrub 50ml
Body Wash 75ml
Foaming Bath Soak 75ml
Luxury Bath Float 75ml
Body Lotion 75ml
Hand Cream 30ml
Body Polisher
Wash bag

For £18 it's a pretty good deal, and a great way to try a range of Sanctuary Spa products if like me you've never bought any before. Unfortunately boots no longer stock this set, I bought it during the Christmas sale but you can find it on Amazon, which I will link below.

I really liked the selection that came with the collection, a good mix of basic essentials and luxury.

The first thing I have to say to get it out of the way is every single one of these products had that tell tale Sanctuary Spa aroma, an aromatic fragrance that's not over-powering but subtly lingers for a long while after.

The different ranges in the Sanctuary Spa collection to vary in fragrances, some are softer or more floral, this one had a oriental, warm and very calming fragrance which was just perfect for my pamper break.

Of all the products in this collection, my absolutely favourite was the Foaming bath soak. This product was hands down the most luxurious in the set and made for a perfectly relaxing bath. The Luxury bath float was not far behind, it gave the water a silky touch which left the skin feeling beautiful and was irresistibly aromatic, but the Foaming bath soak produced a mountain of bubbles which really made pamper time feel extra special. It also had a much more subtle aroma which was blissfully calming and really let me relax and enjoy the soak, and the hand cream and body lotion finished off the whole experiencing letting me drift on into slumberland feeling pampered, loose and ready for sweet dreams.

For me, the only downside to this set was body polisher which was a little course for my tastes. I don't know if this is simply a matter of preference but I prefer a polisher which is softer on the skin, but if you're looking for something more abrasive that can really exfoliate the skin as well then this polisher might just be the ticket!

I would definitely recommend this collection from the Sanctuary Spa range for a short relaxing get-away, is has all the essential body products you might need and gives you that touch of added luxury that completes your relaxing getaway.

I hope you've enjoyed this review. As I'm new to Sanctuary Spa, please leave a comment in the box below telling me your favourite Sanctuary Spa products and I'd love to give them a try!

Thanks for reading!
Bye for now
