It's World Book day!

So it looks like it's a double post day. I wouldn't normally post twice in one day but I only just realised it's World book day! How did I miss this?
Well I couldn't just let it pass me by so I thought what a perfect way to start sharing my reading list. I've wanted to do this for so long this has got to be the perfect day to start right?

If you enjoy these kinds of posts let me know in the comments because I'm thinking of making it into a series.

As always I tend to have a whole bunch of books on the go at any one time and April has been no exception.

Usually I tend to have one or two fiction novels in the book pile and then a range of factual books that I'll flick between over a couple of months. These can be all sorts from hobby books (knitting!!!!) and self improvement (those aren't exactly the same are they?!) to biographies, study books or all sorts of popular science books.

At the moment in my pile I have:

Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen
The Hobbit - J R R Tolkien

Acting in Film - Michael Kane
The Complete Stanislavsky Toolkit - Bella Merlin
(bit of a drama theme at the moment)
Teaching Psychology Online - Neiff & Donaldson

I was also reading a book on building self-confidence until recently but I'm also one of those people that puts down a book and can never find it again (I was a chapter away from the end - typical!) so when that resurfaces it'll be going back on the list!

I love to have a variety of books to choose from I get caught by sudden urges all the time so I need to be able to act on it NOW! It means I probably take longer than the average person to finally finish a book but it also means I'm never bored, and I always feel like there's lots going on (even if it's only on pages and inside my head!)

I'm a good way through a few of these books so I'll let you know at the end of the month how I get on but I wanted to remind you all about World Book Day and say...

"Pick up a book!"

It's always great to try something new so have a look about for something to learn or a new genre to read and get yourself cosied up in a corner with a cup of tea.

If you're reading something exciting at the moment let me know I'm always looking for a good read.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I go through really bad phases of being really into reading, and then avoiding books for months. I'm in one of my not reading phases which kinda sucks because I love to read, I spent most of life up till I was about 26 with my head in books. i haven't helped myself with packing up all my books for moving so there's not one around to grab.

    1. I know what you mean I have those times when I just don't feel like it either but it's great that you love it when you do! Books are one of the most amazing, exciting things, go get one out if you can! If I'm not too late good luck with the move!x
